Happy November everyone! I hope you enjoyed the Trick or Treat event and the Fall Advent! In this new month, we have an awesome new feature for everyone to enjoy, as well as a few other mini announcements!

Challenges Are here!

Our big announcement this month is the introduction of the Challenges feature!! Challenges feature a list of prompts that members can work on at their own pace! Each challenge has its own rules and themes, and will have a prize for completion (more on that later...). To start, there are five challenges: A Character Development Challenge, and Four Seasonal Art Challenges, all ready to be taken on!

Challenges are still partially a work in progress! As mentioned above, there will prizes for completion, but haven't been fully decided yet! I have a few ideas for prizes, but would love to hear from the members on what would be a worthwhile prize for these challenges! Reminders and open adopts roundup

First off, reminder that you can claim tickets for the Trick or Treat Raffle until November 5th, 2021! Now's the time to double check that you have aubmited all your trick or treat ticket claims or get in those extra ads for a last few tickets , members can post up to three ads for an extra ticket, and are welcome to advertise the group in general rather than the event specifically to get those last few tickets!

What to expect for the rest of the year

October was a big fun exciting month over at Puppillars, so the next few months will be a bit more quiet as we work on stuff slowly behind the scenes. Provie will be working on the Guide and Lore project, as well as the Masterlist project, which took a little bit of a backseat recently. We do plan on having a small event in December, in the form of a simple item advent, so stay tuned for that!

There's a chillin the air, spooky decorations are going up, and pumpkin spice is back at Pawbucks, so it must be time for fall! After a bit of a lull, we have a few fun activities to get everyone back in the swing of things! Our Trick or Treating Event is back, with six prompts to complete, the Haunted Server Event is also back with five new ghosts to collect, and we have an exciting Fall Adoptable Advent with thirteen adopts that will be revealed during the second half of the month! Read on to learn more about all the fun in store!

For some extra lore on the Fall Holiday season, the Puppillar Holidays lore entry has been updated with details about The Feast of the Beast and about Human Holidays!!

🍬 Trick or Treating 🍬

"Trick or treat! Smell my feet! Give me something good to eat!! " Puppypillars love to chant this silly phrase when out participating in trick or treating, having picked up both the tradition and the chant from humans. Many puppillars love participating in human holidays, and Halloween is no exception!

To celebrate the Holiday, we have Six Puppillars that are giving out some lovely prizes, and a raffle ticket, as long as you complete their prompt! Each prompt has its own guidelines, posted in the comments below this news post, so please read carefully! Each prompt can be completed once per member!

The Raffle Tickets will go towards the Raffle of the Trick or Treat Puppypillar, part of the Fall Advent! 

TRICK OR TREAT RAFFLE RULES

• The Raffle for the "Trick or Treat" Puppypillar will be free to enter!
• The Raffle Opens on October 1st, and will close November 5th
• Members may earn tickets by completing prompts from the Trick or Treating Event, one ticket is available from each prompt for a total of 6 tickets, and may earn up to 3 additional tickets by advertising the group on up to 3 separate social media sites, for a total of 9 tickets
  • Raffle tickets from prompts will be awarded automatically upon completing the prompt. For advertising, submit a claim with the link to your advertisement in the URL
• One winner will be drawn on November 6th - Good Luck Everyone!

👻Haunted Server👻

There's something strange in the neighborhood over at our Discord Server... Haunted Server is back! This Discord event involves keeping an eye on our server for pings that a ghost has appeared, and posting in time to catch it for your very own! Ghosts will be posted throughout the entire month of October, so collect them all!

August was a busy month for me, so things have been a lil slow over the last month, but there have been some amazing guest adoptables and some new updates!

Fall seasonal trader

Marcus has all manner of spooky and fall themed items in his shop, including the ghost companions from last year's Haunted Server event! More items will be added to his shop this season, so keep an eye out, and if you have any suggestions, please share them in our Discord Server! New Lore Page

One of the main new updates for this month is the introduction of an important lore page, The Puppillars World! This page provides a great basic overview of the world, the magic of the world, and how puppillars and snailcats fit into the world. There have been a few updates to this page over the last few days, and it will eventually get some graphics to spice it up, but the information is considered complete! If there is anything that seems to be missing, or if you have any questions about the world of puppillars, please feel free to ask on our Discord Server!

Project and other updates

The Puppypillar Raffle will happen sometime this month! I was hoping to have the puppypillars done last month, but wound upsuer busy, so I will be working on the batch of 5 puppypillars, 4 of which will be raffled off once the winner of the main raffle, Oboe, has thier pick of which one to keep! Apologies for the delay!

Guide and Lore Updates are ongoing! The major update is the Puppillars World Update, but I plan on continuing to chug along with more updates and adding graphics to the guides. Keep an eye on our Discord Server, as I might occasionally post polls on what I should work on next!

The Masterlist project will be starting up again soon! The bug mentioned in a previous news post ha been fixed, so I will start adding in extra images ad re-uploading images soon!

Spooky season is approaching! Things have been kinda slow on Puppillars, but we have a few spooky time themed activities coming up soon! October will have some fun stuff in store, including the return of Trick or Treating and the retrurn of the Haunted Server game over at our Discord! Happy August Everyone!

Once again I'm here with a nice update roundup for this month! I hope everyone had fun with Art Fight last month, it was super fun to see everyone's art and people participating in Chance's Gacha Generosity! Can't wait to see what people get from Gacha, good luck to anyone who opens some capsules! I opened a few myself and added some nice stuff to the Donation Shop :3c always good to keep an eye on the shop, you never know what you might find there!

Puppypillar Raffle!

The winner of the July Puppypillar raffle has been drawn! The result can be seen on the Raffle Page, congrats to Oboe ! I will reach out to you shortly with details! After the puppypillars have been created, the unclaimed ones will be raffled off as well, so keep an eye out for updates!

Spotlight character

One of our new features is a Featured Character on our Homepage! We will periodically be switching out the character to be spotlighted, and may have nominations and/or voting in the future for what character is the spotlight, but for this round, staff has selected Taro, owned by Hawkins ! Taro has had some lovely art made lately, and is the parent to one of our first Puppypillars, we can't wait to see more from them! As the owner of the Spotlight Character, Hawkins will be awarded the King for a Day Sticker award! Congrats!

Project Updates

Lore and Guide Updates are ongoing! Art Fight took up a decent amount of my time in July, but there has been some stuff that has been updated so far!

• Staff Documentation and Guest Artist Documentation has been updated and moved from Google Drive onto our site! This is mainly not visible to members, but has been helpful for staff, and our current round of Guest Artists have been able to benefit from the update!
• The item DB has been updated with new Item Rarities and fixing up some useful information!
• To go along with the previous point, new guide has been added! All about Currencies, Items, and Awards has been created for a reference to all of these lovely things we have on site! This guide has added graphics and some cool new line dividers, and is a nice example of the improvements I plan on making to the other guides!
• Mini-Lore update! The Puppillar Holidays page has been launched, which is still a major WIP! This entry outlines some holidays in the Puppillar society, and you can look forward to these being expanded on and having a presence in the ARPG as well!

The Masterlist Project is currently on hold! One of my big projects is to update Masterlist art for every character so that the "new" watermarking system is present for each entry, where owners and staff can see the unwatermarked image and everyone else see the watermarked version, however I have decided to put this on hold because we need to make some updates/fixes to the masterlist in order to add extra images. Another component of this project was to add all the alternate view images of Puppillars I have access to (mainly images without accessories), so this will be on hold for a little bit while that gets sorted out!

Some New items

A few new items have been added to the Clothing Shop! The Cowboy Hat and Pansy Flower Crown were requested by members and are now available!

In addition, we have been working on creating the Exclusive Prizes for the Dungeon Quest: Beast Quest!

Art fight 2021!

July means Art Fight, the online art exchange/brawl where people draw for each other! In honor of art Fight, we will be encouraging participation by offering some bonus incentives over at Chance's Gacha Generosity! For the duartion of Art Fight, you may submit ANY art for other Puppillars members, even if the art is of a non-puppillars character, and the Gacha bonus of 2 Rolls on the loot table will remain until Art Fight Ends! Even if you don't participate in the official Art Fight, you may still participate if you do gift art for Puppillar members!

July puppyillar raffle

Puppypillars have comfortably found thier place in our ARPG, and it's about time we host our first Puppypillar Raffle! This raffle is free to enter, and will work as follows:

• Each member can claim their free ticket via Claims, simply submit a new claim and select the raffle ticket as your reward
• The raffle will close on July 31st at Midnight Site Time
• One winner will be drawn, and will be asked to provide two parent puppillars for the designs to be based on
  • The parent puppillars may be your own, or one can belong to another member with their permission
• Five puppypillar designs will be created based on the parents, and the raffle winner will get their pick of which design to keep
  • In the case of one of the parents not belonging to the winner, the owner if the other parent will also get to pick a design to keep. In this scenario, an additional Puppypillar will be created for the raffle
• The remaining puppypillars will be raffled off in a new raffle, where each member (besides the winner of the initial raffle and any second parent owner if applicable) can receive one ticket for free

Donation shop

You may have noticed a new shop on our shops page, the Donation shop! If you want to do any spring cleaning, you can donate items from your inventory, and they will show up in the shop for members can pick them up for free! Keep an eye on this shop, staff members may occasionally drop some goodies in there as well! Enjoy the donation shop, and good luck grabbing some fun stuff! The shopkeeper is currently in the works, so keep an eye out!

Staff and Site changes

To start off this section, we would like to give a special shoutout to tgi , who has recently stepped down from being staff. During his tenure, TJ has made some amazing adoptables and items our site, and we appreciate all his hard work! Thank you so much TJ, you will always be part of our Pupppillars family!

As always, we are always working on improvements for our site, as many people have seen, we have recently added Birthday Verification to the site, which sis required going forward. This is to enforce that all members must be 13 or older. As announced on our Discord Server, anyone who verifies their birthday on the site is eligible to claim a free Welcome Box item. If you haven't already, feel free to subit a claim requesting your gift! 

There have also been a few improvements to the site, including a revamp of how sales posts will appear, which we will be hopefully utilizing soon!

Thanks to everyone who applied to be a Guest Artist! It was hard to choose from the applications, but we have selected five guest artists, BLACKDOGZ , Hawkins , Pooka , Oboe , and 4sparkles ! Their guest sets will be posted when they are completed, so keep an eye on our Sales page for some cute new pupps and snailcats!

More site improvements are always in the works, but one of the features we are working on is being able to verify your account's alias through different sites. You will be able to manage your Aliases via your settings, and choose a primary alias. The sites that will be available to use are: deviantArt, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and Twitch! Once these changes are made, we will make sure to make an announcement!

Pride Month updates

Happy Pride Month everyone! This year Winston has curated some awesome new Pride Gear in the Pride Shop! There are three new flags represented, Polyamorus,  Xenogender, and the Progress LBGT Pride Flag! There are also two new Pride items, Collars and Blankets, for every pride flag, old and new! As Always, each item is for sale for just 10 Treats, so grab the ones you want!

To celebrate Pride Month, we have re-activated our Pride Month Prompt, Members can draw some Pride themed art to earn bonus treats, or a pride item of their choice! In addition, the Chance's Gacha Generosity bonus for gift art has been doubled for the duration of June! So if you draw gifts for others you can get some nice stuff!

To add some fun to the mix, we will be hosting a game of Draw the Character Above over at our Discord server, with a Pride theme! So join in the fun, get and recieve some gifart!

Guest Artist Applications Open!

All our Puppillar and Snailcat adopts have found their way into good homes... so sounds like its time to open up Guest Artist Applications again!  To apply for a Guest Artist position, please submit to the Guest Artist Applications prompt! Guest artists will be responsible for Two Adoptables, and each adoptable from the set can be either a Puppillar or Snailcat! For full details, you can also see our Guest Artist Info page! As always, Guest Artist swaps are always open if you have a Species and would like to do a guest artist swap with Provie ! 

The seasonal shop has rotated!

Summer has now officially started! Marcus has rotated his stock and has some old and new summery goods for everyone to browse! The Summer rotation will stay until August 31st! Check out the shop here!!

After the big Dungeon Doggos event, Adventuring Launch, and Puppypillars launch, Provie 's focus will be shifting slightly to working on some lore updates and improvements to the site's tutorials (cute graphics and general improvements). In the meantime, we have our Pride stuff this month, as well as Adventuring and Questing for everyone to participate in! The Dungeon Quest: Beast quest has recently been updated with some new exclusive prizes as well!

Over the next month or so,  we will also be adding more Awards for people to collect (including adding the award for the Mysterious Orbs event and adventuring)!

Our next feature will be the Custom Items system, where members can commission custom items to have on the site, either via artist custom or ARPG currency!

Update 5/26: The winners of the raffle have been drawn!

The pitter patter of little paws can be heard around the area, small grub-like baby puppillars have appeared! It turns out those mysterious orbs were Puppillar eggs! Our researchers have done their best to analyze the eggs, and our new Puppypillar friends, and will be publishing some of their findings about the magic behind these cute lil guys soon!

Puppypillars are now available!

With the launch of Puppypillars, they are now available to members! There are a few different ways to obtain Puppypillars:

• Standard Breeding: Commissioning a staff artist to create a Puppypillar (or puppypillars) based on two "parent" Puppillars
• Raffle Breeding: We will occasionally host free to enter raffles where the winner of a breeding is drawn at random. The staff artist will create a batch of Puppypillars based on two "parent" puppillars. The owner(s) of the parents will get first pick from the batch, and the remainder of the batch will be raffled off
• Adoptables: Occasionally, puppypillar adoptables will be available for sale or raffle! These puppypillars don't have any "parents" and are unique in design.
• Customs: Members can order  custom Puppypillar through our Artist Custom System!

Mysterious raffle Adopts revealed!

Speaking of ways to obtain a Puppypillar.... the Mysterious Raffle is open until May 25th at Midnight Site time, and the following brand new Puppypillars are being raffled off in celebration! No new tickets may be obtained, but you may still turn in tickets for the raffle with your Mysterious Orbs until the raffle closes!

Things have been quiet in the neighborhood since Alabaster's Big Dungeon Doggos game, the weather has gotten warmer, Pupps and Snailcats alike have been going on adventures, and everyone has generally been in good spirits. With the warm weather, many Pupps have been spending lots of time outside, including Pembroke, when one  day out for a walk, he came across something strange, a mysterious blue orb resting in the grass! Pembroke had never seen anything like it before, so he carefully scooped it up and brought it to his friends. No one knew what it was, even the wise Alabaster, but soon enough he heard from others who had also found some of the strange orbs! It seems a mystery is afoot!

Mysterious orb Scavenger hunt

For this event, members will participate in a scavenger hunt to find five Mysterious Orbs throughout the site! 

The orbs will appear on various areas of the site, to find one, simply click the orb when it appears and it will be added to your inventory! At any time, you can check your progress on the scavenger hunt by clicking this link. 

Some things to note:

• The Orbs will not be hidden on Character Masterlist Entries or Member Profiles
• Do not share the locations or links to any of the orbs with others, or give hints to others. This is considered cheating, anyone found doing so will 
• Please be respectful of other people's experiences when discussing the scavenger hunt, including discussing how "hard" or "easy" a location may be, since everyone will have a different experience!

The scavenger hunt will go until May 20th, 2021 at Midnight, at which time the orbs  will no longer be able to be collected!

mysterious raffle

What are these mysterious orbs? Well, its a mystery, but we can reveal one thing! The Mysterious Orb items can be turned in via Claims , by attaching the Orbs you wish to turn in to the Cliam, for one Raffle Ticket each for an exciting Mysterious Adopt Raffle! The raffle is open now, but the adopts to be raffled off will be revealed on May 21st 2021. The raffle will close on May 25th (so there's a nice preview period), and the raffle will be drawn on the 26th!

Members can also earn a bonus raffle ticket by Advertising the site and the Event via social media, simply submit a Claim linking to your advertisement to claim this bonus ticket. With this bonus, members may earn a maximum of six tickets for the raffle.

Winners will be recieving a copy of the companion they created, and a brand new item, a Custom Item Token!

Our Custom Items System is still a work in progress. but for now, these tokens will allow a member to have a custom item made for them by a staff artist, which can either be unique, or distributed in shops. Turn in the Token via Claims and we can get the process started!

Everyone who participated will recieve the Coloring Contest Crayons Award!

Event reminder!

The Mysterious Orbs Event will end on May 20th, 2021 at Midnight Site time, so grab those orbs! Reminder that in order to obtain tickets, you have to turn in the orbs via claims by attaching them to the submission. You don't need to turn in all five at once! Member can also earn a bonus ticket by advertising the event!
