[SoM] Library Looking

Mars frowned as they browsed through the shelves.

Since Sasha was still making sure Skipper was staying out of trouble, they decided that the best use of their own time would be to try reversing the effects - or at least, see if they would be able to get their own magic back under control so they could ensure Skipper wasn’t going to blow up the stove accidentally.

Or on purpose. Although Mars loved their child, they still had to admit that Skipper was… a bit of a handful.

They had to get back on track. They took a glance through the shelf dedicated to books on magic, but… most of them were gone! What was going on here?

“I’m sorry…” The librarian muttered. They were a snailcat, inching up to them. “Most of our books on magic have gotten checked out already, since… well, you probably already know what’s going on, since you’re also looking. I’m really sorry…”

“Oh, no, it’s ok— it’s good that everyone else who needed them got them, but…”

Mars sighed. “I was really hoping I could get some answers… everything feels like it’s been flipped upside-down!”

The librarian shook their head. “I agree! Everything’s been a struggle since then… I use magic levitation to sort the books, you know! I’m too short to reach the high shelves…”

But then, their expression brightened. “But… I know it won’t be much, but I can at least offer my help! There’s a few books that mention magic that aren’t fully dedicated to the art. As long as you can help me reach the books, I can find some that may be helpful!”

Mars began to smile again, for the first time in the conversation. “Oh… that would be wonderful! Yes, please, I’d appreciate the help!”

“Well, let’s be off, then!” The librarian cheered, and the two of them ran off through the library - Mars helping carry the friendly snailcat so they may point out any interesting books to them.
